🏦 Agege Trust Bank
The bank stands on Old Abeokuta Road, Agege side (north of the railway). "Glass doors, cold air and a queue that started at dawn. Shut at weekends." It opens 8 AM – 4 PM, Mon–Fri, Lagos time; at other times the door is shut and the game tells you when it opens again. Your balance, bills and loan live in Phone → Bank, which works at any hour. The money guide walks through that app.

The ATM actions are part of the scene: your money is already in your account, so nothing needs withdrawing. Ask About a Loan explains the Kolanut Loans loan; the bank itself lends nothing. Regulars you will meet: Mrs. Ibidun Coker (branch manager), Femi (teller, counter three), Sergeant Musa (security man), Mama Risikat (queuing since 7am).
The bank is also a workplace. 🏦 Banking runs Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, 8am – 5pm, and uses the Hustle skill, from Teller Trainee (₦10,500 a shift) up to Regional Director (₦63,000). See jobs and skills.
Fixed deposits
A fixed deposit locks some of your money for 7 days and pays it back with 1.5% on top. Only the Manager’s desk inside the bank opens one, and only while the bank is open.
- Go to Agege Trust Bank while it is open (8 AM – 4 PM, Mon–Fri) and step into the Manager’s desk.
- The Fixed deposit card shows your current deposit, if any. Pick an amount; the card shows what comes Back in 7 days.
- Tap Lock. The money leaves your Spendable balance at once.
- When the 7 days are up, the principal and interest pay into your Spendable money by themselves, usually within a minute. You can also tap Collect in Phone → Bank once it says it has matured.
| You lock | Interest | Back after 7 days |
|---|---|---|
| ₦5,000 | ₦75 | ₦5,075 |
| ₦10,000 | ₦150 | ₦10,150 |
| ₦25,000 | ₦375 | ₦25,375 |
| ₦50,000 | ₦750 | ₦50,750 |
- Earned money only. Wages, gigs and payouts can be locked; the Welcome fund cannot. If only your Welcome fund would cover it, the button says so.
- One at a time. A second deposit has to wait until the first matures. If the first has matured but not been paid yet, opening a new one pays it back first.
- No early withdrawal. Locked money cannot be touched until the term ends. The Bank app shows the amount, the interest and a countdown.
- The rate is fixed when you lock. Interest is rounded down to whole naira and is not taxed.
At the largest size, a deposit earns ₦750 a week, or about ₦3,000 over four weeks back to back. It is a place to park money you will not need for a week, not a way to get rich. Keep enough outside it for Kolanut Loans and rent day.
Sending money to another player
Open a chat in Phone → Messages and tap ₦ Send money under the messages. The sheet shows the money you earned, how much you can still send today, quick picks of ₦1,000, ₦5,000, ₦20,000, a box for another amount, and a note of up to 40 characters. Below that it shows the fee and what the other person receives. Tap Send to pay.
The chat then shows a money card to both of you: "You sent" or "Sent you", the note, and what arrived after the fee. The other player gets a notice, and the transfer appears in both Banks' transactions.
The fee
The fee is 2% of the amount, at least ₦20, and it comes out of what you send. It goes to nobody: the game removes it. Up to ₦1,000, every send pays the ₦20 minimum.
| You send | Fee | They receive |
|---|---|---|
| ₦100 | ₦20 | ₦80 |
| ₦1,000 | ₦20 | ₦980 |
| ₦5,000 | ₦100 | ₦4,900 |
| ₦20,000 | ₦400 | ₦19,600 |
| ₦50,000 | ₦1,000 | ₦49,000 |
Who can send, and how much
| Rule | Limit |
|---|---|
| To send | A saved life (email in Settings → Account) and a person at least 7 days old |
| To receive | A saved life and a person at least 24 hours old |
| Each send | ₦100 to ₦50,000 |
| You send in a day | ₦100,000 in total |
| They receive in a day | ₦150,000 from everyone together |
| To the same person | 3 sends a day |
| What you can send | Money you earned only |
| Blocked | If either of you blocked the other, no sends |
A day is a Lagos day: the limits start over at midnight, Lagos time. If a rule stops you, tap the button anyway: it tells you which rule and, for the age rules, how long until it opens.
Money you receive
Money from another player lands in your Welcome fund, not your Spendable money. It pays for food, rent, furniture, clothes, businesses and everything else in Agege, and the game spends it first. What it cannot do is move on: it cannot be sent to a third player, locked in a fixed deposit or staked. That stops new accounts being used to funnel money to one main account.
Before your first send to someone, and whenever their messages ask for money, the sheet shows: "⚠️ Don’t transfer cash to people you only know from the game. Our team will never request money." Naira in Agege Life has no real value, and nobody from the game will ever ask you for it.
When sending is paused
If your income in a single hour is far beyond what anyone can earn by playing, sending money is paused on your account until the team checks it: "Sending money is paused on your account while our team checks some unusual income. You can still spend it." Normal play never comes close. The game can also pause sending money for everyone for a while; the button then says so.
Sending food
In the same chat, tap 🍲 Send food. ChopNow opens in gift mode with "Deliver to @name" at the top and how many gifts to them you have left today. Pick from the 3 ready meals and 19 groceries, up to 10 items in one gift, add a note if you like, and tap Send gift. You pay for the food plus the ₦200 rider fee.
- Any money pays. Your Welcome fund can pay for a food gift, the same as for your own food.
- It goes to their kitchen. Groceries join their kitchen stock for cooking. A ready meal waits in the kitchen until they eat it at home from the Cooler Box or the Tall Refrigerator.
- A food card in the chat shows what was sent. The receiver gets a notice and can tap 🙏🏾 Say thanks on the card.
The cheapest warm gift is one 🍢 Suya Parcel at ₦600: ₦800 with the rider fee.
| Rule | Limit |
|---|---|
| Who | Both people at least 24 hours old; guests can send and receive |
| You send in a day | 5 gifts |
| They receive in a day | 10 gifts from everyone together |
| To the same person | 2 gifts a day |
| Each gift | Up to 10 items |
| Blocked | If either of you blocked the other, no gifts |
Food is the easier way to help a new friend: it works once they are 24 hours old, needs no saved life, and they can eat it straight away. Recipes and the value of each meal are in food and cooking.
Money or food?
₦ Send money
For a friend with a bill to pay. Both of you need saved lives, you need a person 7 days old, it costs a 2% fee, and only earned money can go.
🍲 Send food
For a friend who is hungry or new. Anyone 24 hours old, guests included, can send and receive, and any money pays, with a ₦200 rider fee.
Common mistakes
- Going to the bank to open a deposit when it is shut: it keeps 8 AM – 4 PM, Mon–Fri only.
- Locking money you will need for rent or Kolanut Loans before the 7 days are up.
- Trying to lock or send your Welcome fund: only money you earned can go.
- Promising to pass on money someone sent you: received money cannot be sent again.
- Sending tiny amounts: on a ₦100 send the ₦20 minimum fee takes 20%. Send food instead.
- Sending money to someone who asked for it in a chat but you only know from the game.
Plan the week, rent and tax (only wages and business payouts are taxed, above ₦400,000) in money and your budget. Meet people to send things to in friends and multiplayer, and find your way to the bank in places and travel.
Questions
Can I take a fixed deposit out early?
No. Once it is locked, the money cannot be touched for 7 days. When the term is up it pays itself back, with the interest, within about a minute.
How much interest does a fixed deposit pay?
1.5% for the 7-day term, in whole naira. The largest deposit, ₦50,000, comes back as ₦50,750. The interest is not taxed.
How do I send money to a friend?
Open your chat with them in Phone → Messages, tap ₦ Send money, pick or type an amount between ₦100 and ₦50,000, and tap Send. A 2% fee (at least ₦20) comes out of the amount.
Why can’t I send money yet?
You need a saved life (an email in Settings → Account) and a person at least 7 days old. The other player needs a saved life and a person at least 24 hours old. Tap ₦ Send money and the game tells you which rule applies and when it opens.
Can I send on money someone sent me?
No. Money you receive lands in your Welcome fund: it pays for anything in Agege, but it cannot be sent to anyone else, locked in a fixed deposit or staked.
Can a guest send or receive food?
Yes. Food has no cash value, so guests can send and receive it. Both people only need to be at least 24 hours old.
Is the bank open at weekends?
No. Agege Trust Bank keeps 8 AM – 4 PM, Mon–Fri, Lagos time. The Bank app on your phone works at any hour.
