The four staff
Each person is one card in the Staff tab. "Needs" is what you must have before they can start.
| Staff | Needs | Does | A week |
|---|---|---|---|
| 🧹 House help Mama Ronke | Mini-flat or better | Keeps the place clean: your hygiene falls 30% slower. | ₦3,500 |
| 🍳 Cook Chef Ikenna | Two-bedroom flat or better | Cooks a full meal for you once a day at home. No groceries needed. | ₦12,000 |
| 🚗 Driver Uncle Sunday | A car | Drives your car: trips are 15% quicker and cost you no Energy. You still pay the fuel. | ₦9,000 |
| 💂🏾 Guard Mallam Danjuma | Two-bedroom flat or better | Watches your back: a robbery you report is caught 80% of the time, not 50%. | ₦15,000 |

What each one does
- 🧹 House help: your Hygiene falls 30% slower, all day, at home or out.
- 🍳 Cook: once a Lagos day at home, tap the stove or any kitchen piece and choose Eat what the cook made. It gives +85 Hunger and +10 Fun and needs no groceries. A second meal the same day is not offered.
- 🚗 Driver: trips in your own car take 15% less time and cost no Energy. Driving yourself costs 2 Energy near and 3 across the railway. In the Tokunbo Hatch a trip takes 2 seconds yourself and 1.7 seconds with a driver, near or far. You still pay the fuel.
- 💂🏾 Guard: if someone robs you and you report it, the next police patrol catches them 80% of the time instead of 50%.
Hired staff also stand in your home at their spot: the house help by the kitchen, the cook at the stove, the guard at the door and the driver by the gate. Friends who visit see them too.

Which home takes which staff
The house help, cook and guard depend on your home. The driver only needs a car, so any home can have one once you own a car (see cars and garage space).

Hiring and letting go
- Open Phone → Houses and tap Staff.
- Tap Hire · ₦… on a card. The first week is paid now, and the card says "Working for you" with the date you have paid to.
- From then on, the wage is on the Saturday 9 AM bill with your rent.
If you do not have what a person needs, the Hire button still works: it tells you what is missing. To let someone go, tap Let go on their card. There is no refund for the week already paid. The top of the tab shows the total wages a week for everyone you employ.
The Saturday bill
Every Saturday at 9 AM the game takes your rent and then one wage for each person you employ, each as its own line in the Bank.
If a wage cannot be paid when the bill runs, that person leaves the same day with a message. You owe nothing: there is no debt and nothing waits under Unpaid bills. Hire them again later if you want them back.
Staff also leave when you lose what they need:
- Moving to a smaller home: the cook and guard leave if it is smaller than a two-bedroom flat; the house help leaves if it is smaller than a mini-flat.
- Selling your last car: the driver leaves.
Either way the week already paid is not refunded.
Is staff worth it?
Staff never earn money; they make the week easier. Hire them once your income covers rent with room to spare, and pick by what you use most:
- The house help is the cheapest at ₦3,500 a week and helps every player who lives in a mini-flat or bigger.
- The cook saves a grocery run and a cooking session every day. See food and cooking for what groceries cost.
- The driver is for players who drive a lot and run short on Energy.
- The guard only matters if other players rob you. See crime, police and court.
Common mistakes
- Hiring all four before your income covers the ₦39,500 a week on top of rent.
- Letting your balance run dry before Saturday: everyone you could not pay walks out.
- Moving to a smaller home and losing the cook and guard you just paid for.
- Selling your only car and forgetting the driver goes with it.
- Expecting a driver to pay for fuel: you still do.
Plan the wages with money and your budget, find a home big enough for a cook in homes and furniture, and keep an eye on Hygiene with needs, feelings and health.
