How wishes work
- Your wishes live in the character panel. Tap your portrait at the bottom left, then open the Goals tab. Each wish shows its emoji, its name and how many ✨ it pays.
- You get your first 3 when you move into your first home.
- When you do the thing, a toast says Wish granted with the ✨ added. A new wish is drawn at once, at random, from the ones you don't already have.
- There is no timer. Wishes don't expire, don't refresh overnight and can't be skipped. One you can't do yet just waits.
- Only active wishes count. Cooking jollof while the jollof wish isn't on your list pays nothing. So check the Goals tab before you go out.
- Activities count when they finish, not when they start. Cancel one halfway and the wish stays open. A travel wish counts as soon as you set off for the place.
- One thing can finish more than one wish. A good shift can pay for the shift wish, the perfect-shift wish and the skill wish together.

Wishes with a catch
- ⭐ Ace every task in one shift: the name says every task, but the game counts 3 or more of the 4 handled well. The shift must run to the end.
- 📈 Raise a skill level: today this only counts when a work shift takes your career skill to a new level. Levelling a skill by practising at home or in town doesn't tick it.
- 😂 Make someone laugh: a joke that falls flat doesn't count. Try it on someone who already likes you; your chance goes up with the relationship and with Charisma.
- 🪩 Rave at The Vault: The Vault only opens 10 PM to 5 AM Lagos time. The dance battle is free; owning the floor costs money.
- 🛵 Get food brought to you: any ChopNow order counts, groceries or a cooked meal. Delivery adds ₦200.
- Home wishes need the right furniture. You start with a radio and a stove, so the music and jollof wishes are easy from day one (your starter kitchen has the rice, tomato paste, seasoning and oil for jollof). A long soak needs a bathtub and reading needs a lamp, lantern or bookshelf. The cheapest option is listed in the table.

Easy ✨ for a new player: a tune on the radio, a pot of jollof, a trip to Agege Market or Faith Road, and a finished shift. None of them needs anything you don't already own.
Where else ✨ come from
Apart from wishes, the only ✨ are paid by the first goals, the cards at the top left of the screen when you start. They pay 4 ✨ in total, once per character.

You can't buy ✨ and you can't swap naira for them. Gem prizes are paid in naira; the ✨ from the gem hunt come from the gem wish. The first-session guide walks through the goals.
Every perk
Perks are under the wishes in the same Goals tab, with your ✨ balance in the heading. Tap the price to buy. A perk is yours for the rest of that life and shows Owned. You can't buy the same one twice.

What the effects mean
- Need perks change how fast a need drops every hour, at home, out in town and while you're away.
- The shop discount applies to furniture. Groceries, fares and venue activities cost the same.
- The work perk multiplies the performance you gain on a shift, so you hit 100% and the next promotion sooner.
- The skill perk multiplies XP from shifts, practice and activities in every skill.
- The sleep perk adds Energy from sleeping and napping in bed.
- The good-mood perk makes happy feelings from activities last longer, like 🤤 Well Fed after a good meal.
- The joke perk adds to your chance every time you Joke Around.
Perks stack with traits. A need trait and the matching perk multiply together, and so do the XP boosts. The traits guide has worked numbers.
What to buy first
This order suits most players: someone with a job who wants promotions. The running total counts the 4 ✨ from the starting goals, and "wishes needed" assumes the average wish of 2.6 ✨.

- Wishes pay 2 to 4 ✨. Across all 21, the average is 2.6 ✨.
- Every perk together costs 152 ✨. Take away the 4 from goals and you need about 58 average wishes to own them all.
- The richest wishes pay 4 ✨: ⭐ Ace every task in one shift, 💎 Hunt down a gem, 🪩 Rave at The Vault. Wishes don't swap out on their own, so these are worth going out of your way for.
Tips for more ✨
- Open the Goals tab before you leave home and plan one trip that clears two wishes.
- Do the free home wishes first: radio, jollof, a book if you have a lamp.
- Finish your shift. Leaving early pays less, and only a shift run to the end counts for the shift and perfect-shift wishes.
- Keep an eye on the gem card. A gem is cash and, if the wish is active, 4 ✨.
- If a wish needs furniture you don't have, buy the cheapest item that does it, or leave it and clear the other two.
Questions
Can I skip or refresh a wish I can’t do?
No. There is no skip button and wishes don’t expire. A wish stays until you finish it, so plan around the hard ones.
Do wishes refresh every day?
No. They are not on a timer. Each time you finish one, a new one takes its place straight away, so you always have 3.
Can I buy ✨ with money?
No. ✨ only come from wishes and from the first goals. Naira can’t buy them.
Do perks carry over to a new life?
No. Perks and ✨ belong to the character. If you start a new life, the new character starts with none.
Can I get my ✨ back for a perk?
No. A perk is yours for good once you tap it, and the ✨ are spent.
Does the same wish come back?
It can, later. A new wish is picked at random from the ones you don’t have active, so a wish you just finished can turn up again another time.
